Welcome to the Animal Hostel Trust

The Animal Hostel Trust is an independent charity founded for the benefit of the local animals (mainly cats) in Haringey and Enfield, North London.

Originally part of the Cat Action Trust in Haringey, and then part of the RSPCA, we set up as an independent organisation in 1991.

We are based in Palmers Green, North London.

Over the years we have successfully rehomed thousands of abandoned and maltreated cats.

We have also helped save many hundreds of feral cats from death.

The Animal Hostel Trust is in receipt of no grants or subsidies, but is funded entirely by the generosity of the animal-loving public.

We couldn't keep doing this work without your help...

Almost uniquely, the Animal Hostel Trust has a strict policy that we will never put a healthy animal to sleep. In our work with domestic and feral cats we sometimes find incurable conditions, but if the animal is not suffering, we will try to find a suitable home where they can live out their days safely.

Of course this policy comes at a high cost in terms of time and money.

Fortunately there are some wonderful people out there who have helped us over the years. And we are constantly on the lookout for more!

Read How you can help and find out how you can donate your time, or money or expertise to help Animal Hostel Trust. And take a couple of minutes to find out more about what we do.

And of course if you want to offer a home to one of our rescue cats, then you have come to the right place. A glimpse through our cat gallery will give you a small idea of the happy cats we have successfully rehomed in the past. Our rehoming centres have cats now desperately waiting for your visit.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you think you may be able to offer one of our cats a good home or if you can help us in any way.
